The Athletic Participation Packet must be filled out and submitted to the Office before the first practice of the corresponding season for both Middle & Upper School Sports.
Green Fields offers an exceptional athletics program as part of our whole child enrichment philosophy to enhance mind, body and spirit. Our athletic programs are completely inclusive — all students are given the opportunity to participate in any sport. As students advance through the grades, activities and games get more interactive and students develop better strategies towards teamwork. Middle and Upper School students take responsibility for being a serious student-athlete by making a commitment to their sport and team while continuing to succeed academically.
Lower School (Grades K-5)
The Physical Education program (K-8) at Green Fields is designed to promote a value of lifelong
fitness. Skill building is based on a standard of personal best. Classes are designed to cater to age and skills while keeping a fun and athletic atmosphere. Students learn the rules of the game and game strategies while playing team sports and skill building activities that take full advantage of the swimming pool, tennis courts, track, field, and gymnasium.
Middle School (Grades 6-8)
In addition to the introduction of athletics through Physical Education, Green Fields is proud to offer athletic competition opportunities to grades 5-8. Both boys and girls can compete in tennis, volleyball, flag football, soccer, and basketball. Middle School sports are an extracurricular activity that aims to build on active and social skills learned in P.E. while participating as a member of a team. Games are scheduled through the TIAL league.
Upper School (Grades 9-12)
The Green Fields Upper School has a celebrated history of athletic competition. Students moving up from Middle School are given the chance to compete at the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels once they reach grades 9-12. Green Fields is a 1A member of AIA and offers competitive play in men's and women's volleyball, soccer, basketball, cross country, and track and field.
