Tuition Tax Credit Program
As an independent school, Green Fields receives no public funding. This allows us a great deal of freedom to set our own mission, establish our own goals, and determine our own curriculum. However, tuition alone does not cover the costs of running the school. We must find other ways to “bridge the gap” between revenue and expenses in order to keep costs down and class sizes small while delivering the highest quality education to our children.
One of those sources of revenue is Arizona’s tuition tax credit program, which is a means of re-directing a portion of your state tax obligation through the Arizona Independent Schools Scholarship Foundation (AISSF) to Green Fields so that it can be used for financial aid assistance. (AISSF is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization that distributes your dollars to Green Fields Country Day School). Every dollar that is given to the program in Green Fields’ name goes directly to helping young people afford a Green Fields education who may otherwise not have had that choice. In addition to having a larger student population of qualified young people, the school also benefits by having more tuition revenue and therefore a larger operating budget. The best part is that there is absolutely no cost to you.
