I grew up in New York State with a family that raised me to value education and social justice for those around us. I have taught HS science from introductory through AP levels in variety of socioeconomic settings. I am both AP and IB Biology trained.

I am proud of the work I have done as PTO president for local elementary school for 3 years; there I implemented after school enrichment programs in language, science, arts, and robotics. Science is my passion and it is important to me to continually develop strong science curriculum that is fun and interactive. I enjoy hiking and seeing nature’s beauty through the eyes of children; I love to do this with my own 3 children and look forward to fostering this through interactions with the  students at Green Fields as I watch them explore their interests and love of learning.

When not at school I enjoy running, spinning and exploring national parks. These hobbies, as well the the 2 marathons I have completed allow me to make connections with others over shared interests. I am so excited about growing those connections at Green Fields.
