

Letter from the Head of School


My work in pedagogy development and curriculum design has allowed me the privilege of witnessing, and on occasion participating in, the inception of one of civilization’s most profound revolutions. During the last four decades, constructs concerning the nature of human cognition and learning have evolved from philosophical and speculative to scientific and verifiable. Humans have learned more about human learning, during this period, than in the previous four thousand years.
To see the gleam in the eyes of children as they become increasingly skilled learners, as they acquire deepening wisdom, and as they discover they can possess sufficient reasoning power to embrace the “whole” of the world, is unimaginably satisfying. For my rich life and their willing involvement in our revolution I thank our students.
