PHONE POLICY

Dear Green Fields Community:
Cellphones have proved to be a wonderful tool for keeping in touch and looking up information. However, they can also be a distraction in the classroom and a mechanism for social isolation during breaks. For those reasons Green Fields has decided that, starting during the 2025–2026 school year, students will be expected to leave their cell phones at home or have them stay in one of our “phone hotels” during the school day. Limited exceptions for extraordinary circumstances will be made on a case-by-case basis. Our new cellphone policy is consistent with national trends, including Arizona’s House Bill 2484, which limits cellphone use in public schools. As with all our decisions, the goal of this policy is to improve education outcomes and strengthen the social fabric of our community. As always, our administration is more than happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Sincerely,
The Faculty of Green Fields
